This is a double recessed spot plate supplied with mains GU10 lamp holders and can use any type of GU10 lamp. LED lamps can be used with this fitting if preferred for energy efficiency and low heat.

Great for use in living spaces, hallways, studies or commercial premises especially as the lamps can be titled to provide directional lighting either for visibility or to illuminate features.

Cut out required 165 x 80mm. Fitting lamp heads rotate 10° and tilt 355°.

how is the fitting fixed
This is installed via spring clips. These are supplied with the fitting.

Can this twin spot be surface mounted?
No this fixture needs to be recessed into your ceiling.

What is the minimum internal clearance that is required around this light fitting? Does insulation have to be removed from the ceiling so that there is a minimum distance between the insulation and the light fitting?
Insulation should not cover any type of light fitting unless specifically designed for use under insulation. Some installers construct a box to put over a fitting and if necessary lay insulation over the top. The void should be in the region of 100mm when using LED lamps and 150mm when using halogen.
