This mains conversion kit contains a recessed downlight with an oversize bezel (140mm) suitable for easy covering a hole in your ceiling from 70mm up to 130mm in diameter.

Remove your old fitting from the ceiling and disconnect the mains supply. Connect the GU10 lamp terminal, put in your GU10 LED lamp and push up into the ceiling void. Job done. No plastering and no fuss.

Comes complete with a 6w LED glass lamp which is a fantastic lamp giving out the same light as a 60W halogen. Available in three colour temperatures, either warm white at 2700°k, neutral white at 4000k and daylight white at 6500°k. 520 lumens. 38º Beam angle.

Typical lamp life of 30,000 hour.

Sold as a kit: contains one fitting and one LED lamp.

Spare lamps can also be added to basket if required.

Why do I need an LED downlight converter with an integral driver/transformer suitable for 230 - 240v supply and not just a 50w halogen converter? Does the halogen converter take an LED bulb? What does the driver/transformer do?
The "converter" plate allows you to cover larger holes, it's a standard 240v fitting that takes gu10 bulbs. No transformer is required.

i have been told that the springs are very strong and can trap your fingers so have to be carefull when pushing up through hole??
The springs are strong so that they hold the light in place. Fitting them isn't problem, it's when you remove them they can trap your fingers.

Is the white finish matt or gloss?
The finish of the white is gloss.

Could you confirm what connectors if any are needed please?
It is a complete kit, no extra connectors are required for a standard mains installation.

Is the converter safe to fit in a bathroom, over a bath
This has no IP rating, so we wouldnt recommend using this in the bathroom, Product Ref: 41420 is a oversize bathroom safe downlight.

Is the led bulb replaceable or does it come as a whole unit that has to be changed?
The LED bulb can be changed with any suitable GU10 based lamp

Everything you need for a downlight with a cutout of 70-130mm is included. These are ideal for use in a kitchen.
