From £9.60 inc VATThis LED works well inside cabinets and storage units such as Ikea's Eket range. It is 52mm square and surface mounted. The construction is in two parts, with a silver-coloured bezel screwed to the side or top of the cabinet and into which the LED pops into thus hiding the fixings.
This light is also suitable for use as a niche light or as a plinth light for the kick panels which sit below kitchen base units.
The thin lead (150cm in length) has a plug at the end so you will need to make an 8mm hole to enable this to go through the carcass and then connect to a LED power supply.
The colour is warm white and the 20 LEDs inside generate a subtle light so dimming them may not be a requirement.
This is a 12v DC-powered LED strip. At home, you will require a LED driver to provide the low voltage required. In caravans, motorhomes and boats you may be able to use the 12v supply from the leisure battery.
